Lydia Williams stands as a testament to resilience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in both the professional and personal spheres. A detail-oriented professional with a diverse skill set, Lydia brings exceptional technical knowledge, Business Administration expertise, and a wealth of experience in Information Technology, Business Management, Leadership, Customer Service, Organizational, and Problem-Solving realms.

In her current role as an Information Technology Specialist at Broward County Public Schools, Lydia serves as a crucial liaison between the school district and local school administration. Her results-driven approach and dedication are evident as she supports and maintains the Lauderdale Lakes Middle School network infrastructure. Lydia's belief in building strong teams and fostering meaningful customer relationships reflects her understanding of their vitality in achieving sustained growth. As an Information Technology specialist, she possesses a profound understanding of project management methods, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills, making her a proven problem-solving asset.

A proud graduate with degrees in Management Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology and Instructional Design and Technology both from Kaplan University, and Computer Systems Technology and Computer Science from the City University of New York, Lydia's academic journey encompasses a rich blend of finance, business analytics, marketing, operations management, strategic management, and technology in a business environment. Her knowledge extends to programming, client and server technology, and local area networks.

 

With over 30 years of administrative experience and 13 years of Sales, Information Technology, and Marketing roles across diverse sectors, Lydia has honed her organizational skills and leadership capabilities. Her experience includes contributions to non-profit organizations, higher education, K-12 learning environments, banking, retail, and small businesses.

Lydia's tenure as a 6-12 educator provided unique insights into making a meaningful difference in the educational arena. This experience enables her to bring cultural and educational perspectives to the business world, facilitating the accomplishment of diverse tasks within the workforce. A confident and skilled leader, Lydia inspires team collaboration, making her a valuable asset for any organization.

 

Driven by motivation, ambition, and a proven ability to adapt quickly, Lydia believes in improving and promoting self-reliance, economic independence, and leadership opportunities for all. Her commitment extends beyond professional endeavors, including philanthropy through non-profit organizations and active participation in her church community. Lydia's strengths lie in her abilities, skills, and attributes, coupled with her optimistic and compassionate approach.

 

Despite facing health challenges, Lydia emerged as a breast cancer survivor, embracing faith and making a positive impact among her peers. Recognized with awards such as the Employee of the Year 2023 and Emerging Leadership 2011 from AAUW NYS, Lydia mentors girls and serves as the coordinator for Mentoring Tomorrow's Leaders (MTL) at Broward County Public Schools, Lauderdale Lakes Middle School.
