SUMMARY

​This assignment summary focuses on reusable learning object to enhance students cognitive ability to learn the necessary techniques for proper handwashing. Below, I describe 6 steps about the subject.
Topic: Hand Washing
 
Main Objectives: Highlights the main focus in which I would like to convey to my middle school students.  Hence, the main objectives present information how to identifies the techniques for proper handwashing.  However, the learning objectives will illustrate the learning objectives.
 
Learning Objectives:  Upon completion of this RLO, my              middle school students will be able to identify the eight (8) steps of proper hand washing techniques. That must be done before and after using the bathroom and before having their meal.  The concepts of this RLO educate the students to be aware of ways to prevent the spreading of germs among their peers.
 
RLO Summary Outline Content:  The content section of this RLO will be a website that I created just for this project which include images and a video. 
 
This videos retrieved from youtube.com a song about washing hands techniques that are very simple and easy for my middle school to sing along on the steps to handwashing. My middle school students will adopt this from the RLO.  According to CDC (2015) states that “video that covers a variety of health, safety and preparedness topics and include closed-captioning. Videos are prepared for different audiences including, children, parents, and public health professionals”(n.d. 2015).
We Start with washing palm to palm
 
  • Wash between each finger let and rub hand together.
  • Then wash the back of the handsContinue by washing and scrub hands -Wash the base of the thumbs one by one
  • Then wash the back of the fingers
  • Then clean fingernails -- Wash and scrub hands again
  • Wash and rub the wristsFinally, rinse the soap off the hands, then dry hands with a clean hand towel.
  • Dry your hands with a paper towel.
  • Then, use the paper towel to turn off the faucet and open the door. As a result, this will help my students to better understand the concepts of hand washing protocols. Thus, the RLO will also in compliant with the Disabilities standards and English as Second (ESOL) students.
  • The portion of my website RLO includes layout, text video, and photos. Above all, RLO will impact the student by bringing togetherness while developing friendships and practice healthy lifestyle habits.
